Tristen Williams, OTR, Director of Therapy Operations
I have always been a nurturing individual since I was a little girl. It fulfills me to help make a difference in others’ livesIn high school, when it was time to start thinking about a career, I only saw fit to have a career in healthcare. My biology teacher introduced the idea of occupational therapy and I knew it was the perfect fit for me.  I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2005. I absolutely love what I do.

Aside from work, I enjoy spending time with my family.  I have an older brother, a younger brother, an older sister, and nieces and nephews. I go back home to El Dorado, Arkansas to visit my mother often.

Mateen Shaw, Director of Pharmacy
Over 40 years of clinical experience, I started the clinical program in 1992 at one of the Tenet Hospitals, Doctors Hospital Dallas (now City Hospital) which improved patient outcomes for community acquired pneumonia by 1-1/2 day and decreased cost of antibiotic therapy for this DX by more than 50 %.  This work was a highlight presentation at the International Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (an international infectious disease conference) in 1995 and presented again in 1998.  I am also Adjunct Assist Professor, Department of Pharmacotherapy, College of Pharmacy, University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth.  With passion for patient care, but no tolerance for blood and gut, I chose the profession of pharmacy. One thing for sure, seeing the patients improve and the happiness on families and patients faces is what I live for. I graduated from Karachi University, College of Pharmacy (Pakistan) in 1973 with BPharm and BS in Biology and Chemistry.

My wife and I have four children. My wife gave up her supervisory position with Delta Airlines for her passion of cake decorating.  She has worn many cake decorating contests and she is also a Henna artist. My two daughters, like their mom, are artists with one of them also a doctor (at least one of my children got my DNA – HAHA). One of my sons is in engineering and the other is in healthcare.  Both my sons are continuing their studies.

My favorites sports teams are Dallas Stars and Dallas Cowboys.  My favorite past time is spending time with my family and outdoor activities with them including kayaking.

Mason Tumas, Director of Quality
I’ve been a RN for 2 years..I have a BSN in Nursing and am working on my MSN. I chose nursing as my profession because I am passionate about caring for others and being there for them in the most difficult times in their life. I have a sweet little boy, a wild dog, and I got married as soon as I graduated college. I don’t enjoy watching sports…at all. LOL. My favorite hobbies are hiking and road cycling.
