Leonard Robinson

Success Story

Leonard, a 67-year-old retiree living in Quinlan, Texas, enjoys taking vacations and visiting friends. One Saturday after buying groceries, Leonard called a friend to help him put them away, during which Leonard fainted. This prompted his friend to call 911.

Leonard was experiencing shortness of breath and a cough, and was taken to a local hospital where he was placed on a mechanical ventilator to help him breathe. He was diagnosed with pneumonia.

After showing some signs of improvement, Leonard was referred to Mesquite Specialty Hospital (MSH) while still on the ventilator. While at MSH, he received further critical care and was weaned off the ventilator.

Once weaned off the ventilator, Leonard was transferred from MSH to Mesquite Rehabilitation Institute (MRI) for continued care and therapy. His rehabilitation treatment goals include living independently and walking again.
